RMS owns a spacious building currently undergoing renovation. A portion of the building, located IN Wallingford, CT, is currently being used to provide DAY supports to 10 individuals. The remaining portion of the building, once renovations are complete, will support up to an additional 20 individuals. RMS was recently awarded a grant, which will allow us to equip the large lower portion of the building with a variety of Assistive Technology. The purpose of this development would be two-fold. RMS has been awarded a safety grant through the Workers’ Compensation Trust.  We are only one of 60 agencies selected to share in the pool of grant money.  The grant will allow RMS to purchase four portable lift systems that can be used when an individual is in need of a solution to transfer difficulties for a temporary period.  These collapsible, mobile units can be operated by staff with the goal of preventing work-related injuries. We are most appreciative to be a recipient of this grant.  Stay tuned for more updates once the equipment is delivered!

Individuals supported by RMS enjoyed 4 days and 3 nights of fun, friendship and relaxation at the 16th Annual Camp Hazen event!  Canoeing, crafts, fishing, and appearances by “Lady Gaga” and “Elvis” were just a few of the highlights!   A huge THANK YOU to the camp committee, the staff at YMCA Camp Hazen, and all who made this a memorable and positive experience for so many!
